Who We Are

Hands of love charity organization (HLCO) is a charity nonprofit organization established in 2011 under a proclamation number 1113/2011 (2019) by the Authority and certified by registration number 4047 as a local non-governmental organization.

With the aim of supporting vulnerable youth, Homeless street females, vulnerable children, older persons and dispute women through collecting cash and in kind from the community in Diasporas, Ethiopia and International NGOs Since its establishment hand of love charity organization is providing food, shelter, medical, and Education services mostly to children, Vulnerable youth, street homeless females, elders, women, peoples with disabilities and chronic diseases.

The core idea motivating this project has been drawn from the fact that millions of Vulnerable groups in Ethiopia in general and in Tigray in particular are still deprived of their basic rights to access basic services and food despite various policy efforts and budgetary measures from the government, NGOs and donors and communities to increase access to the food and basic services. Due to the most destructive war in Tigray millions of people in the region are facing to critical acute hunger

The principle of people’s ownership and their full participation in the development process are the cornerstone of all HLCO strategies and activities. For HLCO, participation comes from recognition of the importance of people’s ownership and involvement in their own development process, without it which is no sustainable, equitable, or appropriate development can succeed.
